20 Minutes of Thankfulness

Goodmorning friends,

Recently a very close friend of mine and I met for our regular sunset meditation but we decided that we would reflect back on the past week and be thankful for all the blessings and goodness that we experienced.

So, we sat down over looking the ocean whilst the sun was setting and we practiced thankfulness. One of us would start by saying ‘I am thankful for…’ then we would pause be present and then the other person would say out aloud ‘I am thankful for..’ and then repeat. We began for 10minutes but after that we were in such a flow that we continued for 20minutes of thankfulness practice. It was such a beautiful, powerful practice leaving us both feeling so blessed.

3 reasons why I loved the thankfulness practice:

  1. Goodness and Gratitude: When doing the practice I was able to reflect back on my year and grab all the goodness, it made me realise that there really were many blessings, fun times and wonderful experiences that happened. I had such gratitude for all the goodness that I encountered.
  2. Energy Booster: As I said more and more things I am grateful for, I felt my energy boost with lots of positive energy flowing through my body.
  3. Inner Peace: A feeling of love, light, happiness and inner peace was felt after the 20minutes practice. I felt so grounded, at peace and full of love from all the beautiful experiences throughout the year.
